Make Money Selling Big Ticket Items

In this article, I want to take a look at how to make money
selling big ticket items. Because I am not an expert in
this field I have spent some time now researching various
programs and products trying to determine what I want to
sell.

In the past five years I spent most of my Internet
marketing career promoting affiliate products. I have made
my money as an affiliate for pay per click programs, pay
per lead programs, and various pay per sale programs.

I have also done well selling private label right products,
network marketing, and starting an article writing company.
So I guess that does leave big ticket items as one thing I
should try right!

Here is what I am finding with big ticket items.

It really is possible to make $1000 per sale went up. Many
of the big ticket programs use a pass up compensation plan.
Let me explain what that means.

When you join a program you have to buy the product you are
going to sell. You also have to give away your first one or
two sales to your sponsor. That is how they make their
money.

So for example if a program cost $1300 to join, and pays a
$1000 commission, the person who makes the sale to you
earns $1000 on the product sale as well as $1000 on your
first product sale and maybe your second one too.

There are many variations of this. Some offer affiliate
programs where you can earn income on the sales from people
who buy the product from you. This can be in the form of a
long-term residual income which is always a good thing.

My opinion on this now is that if you are going to make
money selling a big ticket item, you should plan on the
majority of your income coming from your personal sales.
From that standpoint it really is irrelevant if the person
buying the product from you ever makes a sale or not.

So with a pass up program it is to your benefit to help
them make a couple sales because you earn money from those.
But I personally have found that you can spend a lot of
time working with someone who will never ever be successful
on the Internet.

That may be a negative thing to say, but the reality of it
is this is true. So you want to join a program where you
really are paid an excellent commission on your own sales.
I have seen programs allow you to earn literally thousands
of dollars as you sell some of the various products that
these companies offer.

The other thing I want to stress is finding the right
product to sell. If you are going to earn a big commissions
selling a product you really are going to have to find a
product that excites you, and is easy for you to talk about.

Here is an example.

I have come across an excellent big ticket travel program.
People who do well in this type of program are people who
enjoy travel. They can become a product of the product and
in essence sell their own personal experiences, which is
always a plus in any type of sales.

A person who does not like to travel would have problems
selling this type of a program. I have seen programs that
offer Internet marketing training and self-help training.
People who are able to take this program and apply it to
their own business do well selling it because they become a
product of the product.

So, that is my two takeaways from this article.

To make money selling big ticket items online find a
product that excites you, and that you can sell from
personal experience. Join a program that will pay you an
excellent commission for making your own sales.

Plan on relying on your own efforts as your main source of
income. If they have an affiliate program that you can earn
commissions on all the better, but this should not be your
primary criteria for any program you join. If you enjoy
direct selling you can make a fortune selling big ticket
items.

Does Your Buyer Think Your Company Looks Like All the Rest?

If your Buyer thinks so, he'll make the decision on price -
the lowest price. Don't let your Buyer set your prices!

What can you do to be sure your competitors and your Buyer
don't set your prices?

The most important thing is something you can do right now.
You can do this in three easy steps. Don't wait! The longer
you wait, the more likely you are to either lose the deal
or win at the lowest price, and that may not be profitable.

Step 1:  Get to know your Buyer inside and out. Here are
some questions you can ask about them: Who exactly are
they, and what exactly are their challenges? Be clear on
their: demographics and psychographics.

Find out: - How do they solve their challenges now? - Who
do they call on to solve their challenges? - How do they
make their money? - Do they buy products and services to
re-sell or put together deals for their customers? Who
provides those? - What is their Vision, their Mission and
their approach? - What prices do your Buyers pay? - What
additional services do they buy or look for? - What are the
negotiating points and "deal-killers"?

If you don't know the answers, read what they read, search
the Internet the way they do, and use the keywords and
questions they do. Study their marketing materials, their
Web site. Know their people, their Vision, Mission and
approach to solving customers' challenges. What do they
promise to their customers? How can you help them deliver
on these promises and be successful at what they do?

Find out how they look for partners and companies to help
them solve their challenges. Which companies do they
routinely call on when they're looking for solutions, or
buying products or services? Are you one of them? Why or
Why not?

Be your Buyer for a day. And ask your customers! They're
usually pleased to be asked.

Your purpose in being a detective here is to be able to
solve your customers' challenges and design products and
services that they can't wait to buy - from you - at prices
that are profitable for you. And to position your company,
products and services in relation to your competitors, so
your customer easily sees the added value you bring to them.

Talk to your salespeople about what they know about their
fellow salespeople and how they sell to your mutual
customers. Ask them how your competitors position you in
relation to themselves. What do they say about you, your
products and services?

A Comparison Matrix is often helpful in comparing the Top 5
companies that your customers consider when making a buying
decision. This is a matrix that you often see when you're
comparing computers or software. For example, the Basic
version provides certain (limited) features, and the Pro
version provides many more. Down one side, list products
and services that your Buyer looks for. And across the top,
list each of the Top 5 companies. Put check marks where
each company offers the service and leave a blank space
where they don't. You can design one that shows off your
company.

Step 2: Now that you know your Buyer, know your own company
inside and out. Ask the same questions (above) about your
own company that you asked about your competitors. Review
and critique your Web site, marketing materials, sales
presentations, product and service lines. How do your
salespeople position you in relation to your competitors?

Step 3: Ask yourself seriously and very specifically what
do you give your customer that affects their bottom line,
and is different from your competitors? That is, what is
the bottom-line Value you provide? Find out ways that your
products and services make a difference to their bottom
line. This could be increasing their sales and revenue,
increases their productivity (which can increase their
sales and profitability) or saving them money or time
(which saves money). Use numbers whenever you can, and make
sure you can prove those numbers. For example:

How is your approach different? For example, do you take
time to get to know them thoroughly, to work closely with
them, to meet with them in person? Is your project
management with them clear, concise, and consistent? No
surprises? On time and on budget? Is your delivery more
flexible?

If you take only one thing from this article, make it this
one:

Talk about the bottom-line Value you provide to your
customer starting in the first sales call. Don't wait until
it's time for the close or the proposal. By then, it's too
late.

Incorporate how you help their bottom line into your
30-second introduction. Leave a voicemail that says that.
Give them your name and number so they can call you right
back, and tell them which day you'll call them to follow up.

30-second introduction, so that you get through to your
busy decision-makers.

Do you excel at predicting the time, funding, and resources
your projects will require?

Whether your organization decides to design a new system,
launch a new Web site, or overhaul your company's policies,
these endeavors will require people, schedules, funding,
resources, requirements, testing, revising, implementation,
evaluation, and many other elements.

You may have seen this phenomenon already: projects are
risk magnets. Why is that?

The possible reasons include the fact that projects
typically involve many dynamic aspects, yet they're often
constrained by finite conditions. These contradictory
forces make it extremely difficult to determine with
pinpoint accuracy the time and effort required, and set the

Whenever we can determine our schedule and budget

beginning so that the rollout won't become a chaotic
scramble at the end. For example, propose using a pilot
program or a phased implementation.

10. In really nebulous situations, consider a phase-based
approach, where the first phase focuses primarily on
requirements gathering and estimating.

11. Develop contingency plans by prioritizing the
deliverables right from the start into "must-have" and
"nice-to-have" categories.

12. Refer to your lessons-learned database for "20:20
foresight" on new projects, and incorporate your best
practices into future estimates.

techniques to scope, plan, and constrain your project
conditions, you can dramatically improve your estimating

Why do people quit in MLM? The obvious answer to this is
that it didn't meet their expectations. They didn't earn
enough income to justify the time and expense put into the
business. Most people don't go into bankruptcy through MLM.

Even if you are foolhardy, at most it is likely you will
lose less than $5,000 before you give up! Of course, if you
quit your job and don't have other income sources while you
are building your business, you may end up broke.

OK, what about unrealistic expectations? You would never
believe that people would go into business with stars in
their eyes and the idea that they spend a little money and
talk to a few people they will be rich? Yet, that is what
many recruiters in MLM would have you believe. Of course
you can earn $100,000 or even $1m a year in an MLM
business. You may even get lucky, but for most of us, an
extra $500 a month would make a real difference. Many
experts believe that for most people enough to cover the
cost of their product would keep them involved.

When you go into a "normal" business, there are many
expenses. First you spend money on premises, advertising so
people will know you are there. You may do a publicity
campaign, opening specials or other way to get people into
your shop. There is shopfitting and display and all the
cash registers and other logistical stuff. Oh yes, you have
staff to pay as well. Finally you need products to stock on
the shelves for people to buy.

For many small business something from $20,000 to $1m or
more is put at risk when starting out. This is before a s
ingle customer walks through the door!

In MLM, we spend money on initial stock, some promotional
material, web sites, telephone and mail. Typically you
could run an MLM business including autoship, initial pack
purchase, and promotions for less than $2,000 for 6 months.
With that small an expense, there is little motivation to
succeed. If you have $1m hanging over your head, are you
more or less likely to get up in the morning and get going
than if it is a mere $2,000? The answer is obvious.

MLM is a sales business and with my methods, we are looking
for customers who pay us money and help us recover our
costs. We want to get more back from fast start bonuses
than we spend on recruiting new distributors. Some of the
people will introduce others, and some will place a regular
order. It is this money that builds our passive income base.

Monetising your business means receiving more in direct
bonuses on new business than you spend on promotion and
your monthly autoship. Pretty simple, isn't it!

What this means. I would consider the initial pack purchase
as a necessary expense.  It is like the shopfitting costs
to a normal business. Your internet, telephone, mail,
promotional and other expenses are your ongoing business
expenses. Your advantageship is an expense less the retail
value of the product you and your family consume.

When you get your monthly commission cheque, it usually
consists of fast start commission, organisation commission
(from ongoing purchases) and volume bonuses. So the income
from new business is the volume bonuses you wouldn't get if
you weren't spending the money on recruiting, plus fast
start bonuses.

An example of my own. I spent $109 a week on a local paper
ad. Over the year, I spent $5,668 In that year I received
as a result of that ad income of around $7,000 in fast
start bonuses and volume bonuses. I also won two overseas
trips! This was a profitable venture. As well as this, my
volume commission rose from less than $1,000 a month to
nearly $3,000 a month.

Now this didn't all happen in the first month. Most of it
was after 6 months. I attracted a number of business
partners and was able to add many customers, some of whom
are still purchasing product!

Now imagine if you did this and found 3 other partners who
did the same. Imagine if you encouraged and coached them so
they received a positive cash return for a year while
building an organisation. Yes, you are going to be very
successful! The trick is to make a profit from all your
recruiting efforts and not rely on your MLM income to pay
your household bills.

There you have it, a way to build a long term residual
income that doesn't send you broke and doesn't cost the
earth.

It's HARD!  Most home-based working moms and other
entrepreneurs are saying the same thing now, how do I do it
all?  How can I run a business and balance a family at the
same time? The pressure of clients, busy schedules, snow
days, etc., can be daunting.  I know, I've been working at
home since 1985 and although it gets easier, it is still a
challenge.

Here are some tips for finding balance.  They have helped
me considerably through the years and I hope you enjoy them
as well.

1. Keep in mind that it's a learning process.  No one is
perfect. One of the greatest gifts I did learn was to no
longer beat myself up so much.  So what if I didn't do it
all today.  So what if my house didn't pass a white glove
test today (or ever).  I really enjoy my business.  I
really enjoy my family. I feel as long as I set a good
example for my kids, and keep my clients happy the best I
can, I'm a winner today.

2.  To be able to get it all done and enjoy your family,
create boundaries, both work-related and personal. You
don't want to have to do it all and once you start saying
no, you'll be amazed how truly awesome it feels.  When you
keep in control, things run better.   Plus, I believe both
your family and clients appreciate knowing what is expected
of them.

3. Have a schedule to follow and stick to it as much as
possible.  Avoid unnecessary interruptions, including
constant e-mail checking.  Set a timer for checking emails,
message boards, routine tasks.  Think of time as money.
Avoid time robbers such as friends that IM all day just to
chat.  This isn't to say you can't have fun and friends,
you want that, just keep control and don't let it interrupt
your day.

4. Get out of the office and do your work whenever
possible.   I do a lot of writing and proofing as a
publicist and virtual assistant.  Instead of sitting in the
office, I take it the local coffee shop, bookstore,
library, outside patio, beach, etc.  It feels great to have
a change of pace.  A good cup of java and I'm good to go.
Plus, find out if you can take your kids places and work.
I will often be able to take my kids to the beach where
they can play and I can catch up on some edits.

5. Multitask whenever possible.  When I prepare dinner, I
will often do a crock-pot meal with the meat designated and
also prepare a meal in the oven as well so I'll get two
meals out of it. You feel like you have a day off on Day 2.
Also, I'll prepare my kid's lunches and my own lunch while
I prepare dinner.  That way I can prepare a healthy lunch
and snack the night before for both of us. When I'm not in
a rush in the morning, I have more time to devote to
putting healthy things together. You'd be amazed how good
it feels to stop and eat a pre-made salad or sandwich while
working instead of grabbing for something else.

6. Take small vacations to get away.  Plan a Friday,
Saturday, Sunday vacation.  This really helps because we
don't feel like we are always working.  Also, when you're
busy, don't let exercise and going to the gym be the things
you give up.  You need those for energy.

7.  Take weekends and evenings off. It's so easy to get
caught up working 24/7.  But when you take this time off,
you feel so much more energized.  And you get to connect
more with your children.

Working at home can be a challenge, but it can also be the
most rewarding journey ever.  I believe that not only I
benefit from the experience, but my children as well.  They
get to see a confident positive mom who loves going to work
every day. And that's priceless

do is say no. Once you start getting work that pays better,
you can start accepting fewer jobs from those that pay less.

Work on internet speak and etiquette

Understand that the person on the other end of the e-mail
doesn't know you or your quirks. Stick to the straight and
narrow until they get a feel for your work. Keeping the
work coming your way is the most important thing to
consider. All it takes is one or two missteps and the
assignments may stop coming your way.

It's Not Procrastination, It's Fear of Rejection (Get Past It and Get Marketing)

Have you ever been stopped in your marketing tracks because
of procrastination and didn't know where it was coming
from? This happened a few times with some of my private
clients recently, and we noticed that every time, it wasn't
really procrastination, it was a fear of some sort that was
holding them back.

Perhaps you've experienced it too? The fear of reaching out
to people, fear of failure, fear of success, fear of not
doing something right, and the kicker, fear of REJECTION? I
don't think I know anyone who's not experienced some form
of fear of rejection when marketing themselves. I think
it's innate for many of us. Problem is, it holds us back
from doing what it takes to get clients. And it's got to
stop.

Fear of rejection keeps people from marketing, from
networking, from asking for the sale, reaching out, from
getting help, from public speaking, from asking for
referrals, and from collaborating with strategic alliances.
You've heard me say this a thousand times: if you don't
market today, you won't have clients in six months.

So, understanding that there's some sort of fear stopping
you, what do you do about it? I've done a lot of research
on this, for my clients, and for myself over the years.
I've read books, special reports, and anything that was
available on the subject. Problem is that most people just
GLOSS OVER what you should do.

The "experts" talk about changing your mindset, thinking
positively, and all that good stuff. OK, but that's not
practical enough for me. I wanted to know EXACTLY what to
do to eliminate the fears and limiting beliefs that have
held me back in the past, and that I continually see my
clients struggling with.

I've discovered there's more to getting clients than just
the OUTER game of Client Attraction (marketing). There's
also an INNER game of Client Attraction (your mindset and
beliefs) and if you don't deal with the inner part, then
you'll keep doing the same things (and making the same
money) you've been making for years to come. I don't know
about you, but I prefer to continue to grow and make more.

So, I went on an internal search for what the answer was
and I found it. I've worked (and continue to work) on my
personal growth and development, and I've broken it down
into a series of steps that, when done in sequence, help
eliminate the limiting beliefs and fears that hold us back
from marketing (and shining, personally) in a big way.

Here's what you do:

1.  Establish the root fear or limiting belief that's
holding you back from marketing. (Fear of success, fear of
failure, fear of rejection, fear of overwhelm, fear of what
others will think of you, fear of doing it wrong, fear of
asking for what you want, fear of saying no to someone,
etc.) Let's pick fear of rejection, just for argument's
sake, since it's such a biggie with my clients.

2.  Think back to your childhood. What is the earliest
memory you have of being rejected? Write it down. (I'm
serious, don't just read this assignment, write it down.
That's how you get results.) If you get stuck, then go back
to what the original thought that popped up when you read
the assignment. That's usually the big one that needs to be
addressed first, even if you don't think it is.

3.  Write down ALL the events in life in which you can
remember feeling rejected (your parents, kids in grade
school, high school, the dating years, cheerleading or
sports tryouts, the working world, and of course, since
being self-employed).

4.  Now, think about what MEANING you created about
yourself as a result of each of those incidents. ("I'm not
good enough," "I'm dumb," "I'll never be good at
marketing," "When I reach out, I get rejected," "I'm not
cut out to make a lot of money," etc. Really spend some
time on this, because that's where the healing begins. Be a
hard grader.

5.  Then, make a separate list of how these MEANINGS you
created have stopped you in life. Did you stop reaching
out? Did you stop taking chances? Did you retreat into a
hole? Did you hold back from taking advantage of
opportunities that could have advanced you? Write them all
down.

6.  Now, go back to the list of meanings you created and
ask yourself, "What if what I THINK happened wasn't
actually the case?" Here's what I mean: If you were
rejected by your "crush" in high school after telling this
person you liked him, imagine other scenarios other than
"I'm unattractive" or "I'm not lovable." Could they have
secretly been dating someone else? Could they have been shy
and not known what to say? Could they even have been
interested in someone their own gender? Write it ALL down.

7.  This is a list of ALTERNATIVE reasons why they wouldn't
have done the 'right' thing by you, rather than thinking
you were unattractive or unlovable. Now, look at this list
and pick one, because I'll guarantee you, what you THINK
happened is probably not what happened. Each person has
their own writing on the wall and even if they said or did
something unacceptable, we don't REALLY know what that
reason was (we might never know what was going on for them
at that time).

8.  Reevaluate the limiting belief or your fear. Is it
REALLY true that you were rejected? Could there have been
another reason for what happened? Is it really WORTH your
still being affected by this and having lost out on
opportunities your whole life because of what one (dumb)
person said or did? Is that event really WORTH you being
stopped in your marketing now?

9.  Decide to select the ALTERNATIVE reason for what
happened and move past the fear. You deserve to not be
stuck in your tracks any more. You deserve to be free from
what others said or did to you in the past. You deserve to
be successful and that's what I want for you.

10.  If you can't seem to let the fear go, then just FEEL
the fear, and do what it takes anyway. You've heard the
saying: "Successful people feel the fear too and they do
what it takes anyway." That's been my experience. When I
feel myself getting stopped, I often use the process above,
and then I just push through and get things done. Funny
thing is, it's never as bad as what I had feared. Best of
all, every time you push through a fear that stops you, you
exercise that muscle. After a while, limiting fears or
beliefs don't have a chance against you.

YOUR CLIENT ATTRACTION ASSIGNMENT:

Make a point to do the exercise above. Take an afternoon or
an hour, and really work through what's stopping you. It
can seem scary at first, but I assure you, when you
actually do it, it becomes easy. And it feels so FREEING at
the end.

You'll notice that you will start DOING more than before,
taking advantage of opportunities, and getting better
results in marketing. That immediately equals more paying
clients, more results, and in my experience, financial
freedom and being able to live the life you really want. I
once read that the view from the other side of fear is
SUCCESS. Are you game?

do to get clients in a way that feels easy and authentic to
you, it's time to start doing things differently.

source, to the producers, owners or importers of the
products.  They will give you the best margins and can even
negotiate exclusivities or special contracts to protect a

suppliers.  Now, let me tell you how to build your list.
The easy way is to go to trade shows.  There are food
shows, snack shows, toy shows, and apparel, everything you

The other way is looking online.  This can be a bit more
complicated because you don't really know who the companies
are, if they are the original owner or a reseller.  You

admit, I was TERRIBLE at online network marketing when I
started. But I've been through an expensive and time
consuming learning curve, and want to help you avoid making
the same mistakes I did, so you can move from the "stink it
up" phase to the "walk the stage" phase of your business!

Here are eight things you can do to ensure success:

1. Have a strong Why. This is definitely number one. If you
don't have a very clear vision of what you want, and a
"never say die" attitude, you probably won't succeed
anywhere, in anything. Spend some time getting very clear
on what you want, why you want it, and commit to pay the
price to get it.

2. Join the right company. This one was painful for me
because I had many good friends in my former company, and I
was very loyal. But as I tried to build my organization
online, I came to understand that they didn't get it with
the internet, they weren't going to get it any time soon,
and the wave of opportunity was going to pass me by if I
didn't find a cutting edge company. Very tough decision,
but when I finally found the right company it was like
taking the brakes off, my organization grew bigger in 5
months than my old team grew in 3 years!

3. Eliminate distractions. Let's face it, when you get
online there's suddenly a thousand things fighting for your
attention. News clips, videos, time wasting e-mails,
marketing programs, video games... the list goes on and on.
You have to be able to focus on your daily priorities until
they are all done before you get distracted by any of these
time sucking income reducers.

4. Establish a plan and strategy. If you don't know exactly
how to accomplish your goals, you are likely to be sucked
into "program of the week" mode. You must have a business
plan, and know what activities will get you the signups you
need in your business. Don't fall for every sales pitch you
see. Figure out what works and commit to it, only trying
new strategies after your core methods are implemented.

5. Be a good student. Too many people rely on others for
their success. Listen, the only person who REALLY, DEEPLY
cares about YOUR success is you. YOU must become the
expert. You can't outsource your marketing education to
somebody else.

6. Develop the habit of personal development. I have heard
many of the top online marketers and network marketers
train, and every single one of them has a personal
development program. They read the good books, listen to
life improving audios, and attend self improvement and
marketing seminars.

7. Be willing to WORK for your dreams! There is no
substitute for HARD WORK! Be willing to put in the hours to
build a great business. Second to work is the issue of
consistency. Online network marketing is something that has
to be done DAILY. Too many people dabble at it, spending a
few hours here and there. That doesn't work. It's much
better to spend a little bit of time every single day than
a lot of time on Saturday. If you are limited on time, just
do ONE thing to improve your online business each day. Try
it for a month and prepare to be amazed at how much
progress you've made!

8. Have realistic expectations. Because there are so many
hypy, unbelievable testimonials out there people think they
are going to get to a $10,000 a month income their first
month. Unfortunately, a lot of people HAVE done this
online, and it can be done. But we usually don't hear the
"story behind the story". Success almost always comes after
a period of consistent, effective work. As great as the
internet is, and as much leverage as it provides, it just
makes the process easier and shorter, but you still have to
go through the process. What if it takes you five years to
make over $100,000 a year? Consider this: most people in
the US work 40 years, 40 hours a week and only 5% reach the
$100,000 a year mark, but we are willing to quit our online
business in the first year if we don't achieve it?! We just
need to be willing to commit to the process for as long as
it takes, and give our efforts a chance to compound.

Online network marketing does work, it's a lot of fun, and
it there's nothing like the "mailbox" money it provides.
These eight things just aren't that hard to do. Do a "check
up from the neck up" to see which of these areas you need
to work on to ensure you have success in your online
network marketing business!

Ebay Ebook Success: New Years Resolutions 2008

Yes it's that time of year again. People often use the new
year as a basis for setting resolutions such as go to the
gym more, lose weight, quit smoking etc. As an eBay ebook
seller I find it very useful to use the new year as a time
to reflect on my progress during the past year, see if I
achieved all my targets and then set new targets for the
year ahead.

So looking back at last year's article I set myself the
following targets:

- TO INCREASE THE SIZE OF MY EBAY STORE AND TO KEEP TO MY
TARGET OF UPDATING MY EBAY STORE AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH:-
50/50 on this one. I did increase the size of my eBay store
but I haven't updated it every month.

- TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF SUBSCRIBERS ON MY MAILING LIST
BY AT LEAST 350 SUBSCRIBERS:- I didn't get an additional
350 subscribers but I came close.

- TO CREATE AT LEAST THREE MORE PREMIUM EBOOKS AND SELL
THEM VIA EBAY AND MY WEBSITES:- No progress here. I still
just have one premium product.

- TO INCREASE MY MONTHLY AFFILIATE EARNINGS:- Yes I have
increased my affiliate earnings, largely through increased
adsense earnings

- TO CREATE FURTHER RESELLABLE PRODUCTS TO PROMOTE MY EBAY
STORE, WEBSITE AND PRODUCTS:- Yes again I have created
further resellable ebooks although the majority of these
are to promote a new website of mine.

- TO BEGIN A GOOGLE ADWORDS CAMPAIGH FOR HOW TO SET UP A
SUCCESSFUL, AUTOMATED EBOOK BUSINESS ON EBAY:- Yes I did
experiment with Adwords using the advice in Perry
Marshall's Guide to Google Adwords but I found it was
costing me a lot more than it was making me. Maybe I need
to experiment more but at the moment I don't have the funds
to carry on.

So in summary I didn't achieve everything I wanted to but I
did achieve a good few of my targets. This is partially
down to me not putting in the neccessary effort and
partially because my targets changed during the year. As
the year has gone on I've found that eBay has become
increasingly competitive. As a result my returns from eBay
have been declining. I decided that if I was going to be
successful online I couldn't rely solely on eBay and eBay
related products. I needed to diversify.

In October I started a brand new website, blog and
newsletter in a completely unrelated niche. Since then a
lot of my efforts have been focussed on setting this up and
generating traffic. I'm not going to reveal the website or
blog address in this article because I want to see if I can
make it successful without using my existing subscriber
base. However, as you can see part of the reason I didn't
achieve all my targets is because my focus changed. A year
is a long time and in that time it is likely that your
goals will change whether it be a marginal change or a
signficant change. I'm still going to continue with this
newsletter and keep adding to my eBay store but it is not
going to be my sole priority online. Overall, I'm pleased
with my progress during the year. The only thing I'm
dissapointed with is that I didn't get more premium
products out there.

So now that I've measured my progress I need to outline my
targets for the year ahead. Since I now have a new website,
blog and newsletter my targets will take these into account:

- TO INCREASE THE SIZE OF MY EBAY STORE AND UPDATE IT AT
LEAST ONCE A MONTH:- Even though eBay isn't going to be my
only focus over the next year I do not want to neglect it.
The best way to do this is through regular updates.

- TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF SUBSCRIBERS ON BOTH MY MAILING
LISTS:- I still want to increase the size of this
newsletter. However, I also want to increase the size of my
new mailing list too.

- TO CREATE AND SELL MORE PREMIUM PRODUCTS:- I really want
to get some more premium products out there. In particular
there are plenty of opportunities for the creation of
premium products for visitors to my new website, blog and
newsletter.

- TO INCREASE MY MONTHLY AFFILIATE EARNINGS:- I have
already increased my adsense earnings in the last few
months as a result of my new blog. I want to continue to
increase my adsense earnings during the coming year and
also increase my earnings from other affiliate programs. My
new website, blog and newsletter provide a lot of affiliate
opportunities so this is a big one for me.

- TO CREATE FURTHER RESELLABLE EBOOKS TO PROMOTE MY VARIOUS
WEBSITES:- I already have resellable ebooks out there to
promote my eBay store and related websites, plus a few
resellable ebooks out there to promote the new website,
blog and newsletter. In the coming year I want to create
even more.

- TO IMPROVE MY ARTICLE MARKETING EFFORTS:- In the last few
months (pretty much since the creation of my new blog,
website and newsletter) I have spent a lot of time reading
up on article marketing. In particular I've been looking to
improve the title of my articles and improve my resource
boxes. Since I've done this I've really noticed an
improvement in the traffic my articles have been
generating. In the coming year I plan to improve my article
marketing further and generate even more traffic.

- TO FOCUS ON SOCIAL BOOKMARKING:- I'd heard of social
bookmarking before but never really tried it until a few
weeks ago. Social bookmarking sites are basically sites you
can submit your webpages, articles or blogs too. In
particular they're very useful for submitting blog posts.
Once you have submitted to a social bookmarking site other
people will see the post and if they like it they can vote
on it. If your post proves popular you can get a large
amount of traffic from these sites. I've posted a some of
my blog posts from the new blog to various social
bookmarking sites and really noticed the increase in
traffic. My aim for the new year is to submit all my posts
from all my blogs to the social bookmarking sites.

- TO SETUP SOME SQUIDOO LENSES:- Squidoo is another thing I
hadn't tried until a few weeks ago. Squidoo lenses are
similar to blogs and have the potential to generate huge
amounts of traffic. I plan to set up a squidoo lens for my
eBay ebook store and newsletter plus one for my new blog,
website and newsletter.

- TO UPDATE ALL MY BLOGS REGULARLY:- I have been keeping my
new blog up to date but I have been neglecting this blog
and The Ebook Cavern Reviews Blog. Therefore, I want to
maintain the standard I have set with my new blog try to
update my other blogs more regularly.

- TO GET THIS NEWSLETTER OUT ON TIME EVERY MONTH:- As
regular subscribers to this newsletter will know I have had
problems getting this newsletter out on time. However, with
better organisation I know that I can get it out on time
every month and that's my intention for the coming year.

So there you have it. Quite a lot to keep me going for
2008. But what's the relevance to you? If you haven't set
targets for your online business in the past nows the time
to start. Think about what you have achieved online in the
last year. What are you happy with? Where do you think you
need to improve? Then use this as a basis for creating some
of your own targets for 2008.

Another key point to take from this article is that the
Internet is constantly evolving which means your targets
are likely to change during the year. If you don't revise
them accordingly you will get left behind? When I started
my eBay store I never thought that I would be running a
newsletter or blog and I had never heard of article
marketing or social bookmarking. I never thought that I
would be diversifying from my eBay related business either
but that's exactly what's happened. To be a long term
success on the Internet you will have to keep up to date
with these changes and set your targets accordingly.

The third thing you should take from this article is that
it does not matter if you don't achieve all your targets.
By setting yourself targets and trying to achieve them you
are doing more than most by taking action. Even though you
may not achieve all your targets you will make progress
during the year and ultimately that is what you want.

So what have you achieved in 2007? What are you going to
achieve in 2008? If you don't take the time to reflect you
are unlikely to achieve your goals. Write down what you
want from the coming year and 2008 could well prove
prosperous for you.

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of
optimizing a website through an extensive mixture of tasks
that help improve a website's presence on the search
engines. So this brings up the question, "What is a Search
Engine?" This question can easily be answered by asking you
to get on the internet and visiting Google.com, Yahoo.com,
or MSN.com. These are the most popular and Major Search
Engines. A search engine is an extensive database that uses
algorithms (the way information is collected) to pull
information quickly and efficiently, making information
easily available. A person using a search engine will
specify criteria (keywords/phrases) about something they
are interested in for example "Real Estate". When a person
enters their search criteria into the search engine they
hope to find information that is most relevant to the
keywords entered. This is the main goal of a search engine,
to give its users totally relevant results of their search
criteria.

Now it is important to know how search engines work to
understand the question "What is SEO?" Search Engines use
robots or spiders, which are software that gather
information and bring it back to be analyzed at the main
Search Engine Index or in simple terms the main central
database that stores all the information. This process in
which the search engine spiders gather this information is
called "Crawling", or "Spidering". Here is the best way we
could think of explaining this process. Imagine a spider
family that needs to gather Food (in the case of the WWW
think of food as the HTML text on your website) to bring
back to the main spider-web (Search Engine Index
"Database"). The spider uses a highway (HTML Links on
Websites) to gather food faster and more efficiently. Once
the spider has gathered food, it then takes it back to the
spider-web (Search Engine Index "Database"). Now the
information is sorted out, and the Search Engine uses this
information to help the user find what he or she is looking
for. So when someone searches "Real Estate" the Search
Engine will provide results that are most relevant from its
database. Note: Search Engines are constantly changing the
way their spiders collect information and how it is stored
in their Index, this is why it is so important to stay
up-to-date on changes and techniques.

Keep in mind that on the search engines there are sponsored
links that are Paid Search results that usually are placed
on the top, side, and bottom of the natural search results.
This is a whole other subject called Paid Per Click (PPC)
so keep in mind that SEO deals with natural rankings and
PPC deals with paid rankings.

Now that you know what Search Engines are and how they
work, you can now better understand what SEO (Search Engine
Optimization) is and how it can help you. Here is another
good example using the spider analogy. Think of a person
performing SEO (Search Engine Optimizer) to a website as
the spider feeder. This professional will optimize the way
that the spider collects food. In terms of a website the
professional will optimize the website so that the Search
Engine spiders will easily be able to gather the required
and relevant information.

If you're determined to run a successful therapy practice,
then it's vital that you set yourself apart from the crowd
by being perceived as a specialist and it's only when
you're a specialist that you can think about putting your
prices up...

When you're seen as a specialist, people immediately make
the assumption that you're an expert. And of course, the
great news about being an expert is that your value
immediately increases!

So, how do you set yourself up as a specialist?

The key is to make sure that you target a specific
audience.   To do this, simply decide which group of people
you can help the most - or with whom you feel the most
connection - and declare yourself a specialist in that area.

Of course, there's more to it than simply making the
declaration - but by choosing an area in which you want to
specialise, you create a route map for your business
activities.

For example, you'll get more out of your promotional budget
when you focus on one area of speciality - and when you
have a sense of "purpose", it also helps you decide in
which areas you need to gain more expertise. In this way,
you can also tailor your personal development budget -
which allows you to streamline those two vital resources:

When you begin to specialise, your credibility goes up.

believe that if you're a specialist, you're good enough not
to be a generalist. And like most people, potential clients
want the best advice, service or healing they can get.

In reality, what often happens is when people hear that
you're a specialist in one area, they'll ask you whether
you can also help people in another area too! (For example,
"I hear you're an expert at helping people to give up
smoking using hypnotherapy. Does that mean you could also
help me to lose weight?")

It's also worth noting that when you say as a therapist
that you're here to help everyone, a grain of suspicion is
implanted in your potential client's mind. What they hear
is that you'll take on just about anyone (which immediately
creates a whiff of desperation) and what they fear is that
actually, you're probably not any good at helping anyone.

And finally, the really great thing about being a
specialist is that your perceive value goes up, which means
that you can charge more!

Top Five Tips...

1 When you're a specialist, you're NOT simply one of a very
large crowd.

2 When you're not a specialist, you'll waste both time and
money on both your promotional activities and your own
personal development.

3 When you're a specialist, you're more likely to be
invited to give "expert" comment on news stories within the

less seriously.

Multiple Streams of Writing Income Part 1: Creating a Strategy for Your Writing

Creating a strategic plan for your writing is a creative
process. As a result, the first thing I want you to do is
keep in mind that nothing turns out as you expect it to in
the creative process. Creating a strategic plan for your
writing is just as important and uses the same creative
energy as your actual writing. That's the fun and exciting
part... if you let that process be free.

So, my first piece of advice is to let go of expectations
of how you are going to get to your goals. When you do
that, you will see more possibilities of how to accomplish
them. When you get locked into one view, you might miss the
easier or more direct way.

Know that this plan can change, morph, and grow. You will
refine it, add to it, remove items, and expand items.
Nothing is written in stone. And remember, always have fun
as you create!

In the next article, I will be discussing how to create a
vision for your writing. You might be wondering why I would
put so much emphasis on a vision. I can tell you from my
own, as well my clients' experience, one of the biggest
mistakes you can make in starting a business/project/book,
etc. of any kind is to begin without a vision. Without
having a specific picture in mind, when you run into
obstacles, when there are mistakes made, when you are tired
and don't feel like you have energy to continue, your
vision will keep you on target, motivated, and determined.

A number of years ago, I decided to start a restaurant. I
didn't have any idea how to go about that; I just had a
clear picture of what it would look like and what it would
be for my customers and me. When I became crystal clear in
my mind with that picture, I was able to sit down and
create a strategy to accomplish it. As I did that,
opportunities, information, and ideas started appearing
with almost no effort. When obstacles arose, I was
determined to find a way to overcome them. When
difficulties appeared, I kept the vision in my thoughts,
and always found a solution. Within a few months I had
raised capital, leased a space, contacted vendors, started
construction, and began hiring staff. Less than a year
later the restaurant opened. I know that if I hadn't had a
clear, compelling picture of what I wanted to create, the
restaurant would still be a dream, not a reality.

If you have already created a vision for your business or
life, that's fabulous. This discussion will reinforce that
vision, and in some cases, help you refine and refurbish
what you already have worked on. It's always a good thing
to update and polish that vision and keep it fresh. What
I'm about to help you with is creating a vision for your
writing.

The process I will guide you through in the next few
articles is very effective for any part of your life,
whether it's a business, a project, or your own higher
purpose. I encourage you to use it for anything that would
be enhanced by creating a strategic plan based on a clear,
compelling vision.

7 Steps to Creating Info-Packed Teleseminars From Your Articles

Teleseminars, or workshops conducted over a teleconference
line, are one of the easiest ways to grow a business and
leverage your expertise online.  However, when I speak to
clients about using this marketing strategy, many believe
that they don't have enough content to create a powerful
45-60 minute teleseminar.  Do you share that same belief?
If you've ever written an article, you've got enough
information to create a teleseminar.

I love to repurpose content, i.e., create something once
and use it again and again for multiple purposes.  I've
found the articles I write weekly to be the easiest to
repurpose.  The type of article that works best to launch a
teleseminar is a tips article, or one that is written with
numbered points as the body of the article, i.e., 6 Secrets
to, How to Do ... in 10 Easy Steps, etc.

Here's how you can create a teleseminar from one of your
articles:

1.  Craft your description and learning bullet points.
Write a one paragraph overview of your teleclass based on
the content of your article and include 3-7 bullet points
(very short descriptions of the bullet points in your
article) outlining what the participants will learn as a
result of participating in your teleseminar.  This is the
description you'll use to help you promote your teleseminar.

2.  Expand your article bullet points.  Participants like
concrete examples, so in your planning process come up with
stories or examples you can share about each point, point
out mistakes people make with this point, and discuss
better strategies to use instead.

3.  Craft your introduction.  The easiest way to create an
introduction to a teleclass is to tell your participants
what caused you to create it, and then give a synopsis of
what you're going to cover during the teleseminar.

4.  Determine your call to action.   Typically teleseminars
are part of a larger marketing strategy for an online
business owner:  to sell a product or program, to grow a
list, or to create content for an information product.
Determine what you want your call to action to be for your
listeners, and make plans to insert it into to your
teleclass script.  Share this call to action with your
participants at the beginning, middle, and end of the call.

5.  Format your conclusion.  Here's where you again
summarize what your said during the teleseminar, remind
participants of your call to action, and ask for any
questions before closing the call.

6.  Develop your script.  Now, you have all of the pieces
developed, and it's time to put them together in an outline
or script for yourself.  Note your introduction, expanded
bullet points with examples, insert your call to action
several times when appropriate, and end with your
conclusion.

7.  Draft a handout.  Help your participants remember you
and your presentation.  A handout with your contact info is
the best way for them to refer to the material presented.
You can create a study guide which permits them to fill in
the blanks during the course of the teleseminar, a handout
that you send with notes from the teleseminar, or a PDF of
a PowerPoint presentation that you provide before the
seminar.  Remember to include your contact information in
your handout as well as your call to action from the
teleseminar.

Now, you have a complete teleseminar that you can use again
and again with different target markets to help you grow
your list, sell your products and services, and establish
yourself as an expert in your chosen field.  Take a look at

and/or cheap are okay for certain niches but I don't
recommend them because a lot of the times they will require
you to put their ads on your website.  Those types of sites
also do not allow you to sell or promote certain things and
will limit you on the amount of space you can use and the
amount of traffic you can receive.  Find one whose server
has a reputable history of staying intact and one that will
allow you to have unlimited space and visitors.

Many people stuck in the daily grind of working in
corporate America find themselves fantasizing about "being
their own boss". I have been my own boss for over 13 years.
I have practiced law, and was successful, but didn't like
the idea that every client of mine was my boss.  Sure, I
charged a high hourly rate, but forty hours at that rate
was a rare week.  I longed to own a business where I had
employees working for me.  I thought that they could make
me money while I could work on "more strategic" things.

So I started a contracting business. I ran it from my home.
I no longer had to drive to an office and was around my
kids much more.  The freedom it brought me felt good but it
created a whole new barrage of headaches and presented me
with a very costly learning curve.

I had to become a salesman, accountant, foreman, strategic
planner and, occasionally, a worker bee.  Once the business
started going well, I started hiring sales people.  They
all wanted to make 100k, but were only willing to do about
30k worth of work.  I soon realized that I was the best
salesman, but if I spent too much time on sales, operations
and other areas suffered.  After 7 years in the contracting
business, I started looking for something that was less
stressful and hopefully more profitable.

One thing that I had been very intrigued with was selling
and marketing on the internet.  I am an avid reader of
business magazines, and I frankly get tired of reading
about a 20 something person that has become a gazillionaire
through the internet.  I had no idea at all how Google,
e-bay or Craig's list works, but I thought I should look
into it a little.

Now part of my trepidation about the internet stems from
the fact that I'm 45 years old.  The internet seemed
complicated to me. A thought that continually nagged me,
however, is that if a 20 something could figure it out, I
probably could.

I spent about 18 months looking at scores of internet
marketing plans and products.  I soon learned that there
were almost as many scams as there were opportunities.  I
also realized that while there are an endless number ways
to try to make money on-line, the marketing of your product
is the key to true success.

I then started looking at the people that called themselves
internet mentors.  I realized that if I wanted to be
successful in making money on line, I had to ally myself
with someone who knew what they were doing, knew how to
teach, were willing to work with me and had a product that
I could be excited about.

I became convinced that I could be successful on line.  The
internet was not as scary as I thought it was.

I studied and learned about article marketing, pay per
click advertising, forum advertising and many other methods.

At the end of my 18 month journey, I jumped in with both
feet.  I worked at it every chance I could, and in about
one month I was able to call myself a full time internet
marketer.  Now I could work when I wanted and wherever I
wanted.  I could take a vacation without worrying about my
customers or corporate cash flow.  All I needed was a cell
phone and a laptop and I could continue to make money on
line and grow my business.

What did I do with my contracting business you ask?  I shut
it down.  I kept some of the cool toys that the business
owned and offered my employees an opportunity to work with
me on-line.

They haven't taken me up on it yet, but they are young, and
perhaps they'll come around.

Now, I don't have employees.  I don't have to deal with
customers or vendors like I used to, and the people are
much more exciting to work with.  I am both their mentor
and student, but we all share a common goal of mutual
success.  My level of job satisfaction is immensely
improved, my stress level is almost gone, and my family
sure notices the difference.

If you decide to embark on an internet marketing career, it
will be hard work and there will be some risk, but if you
stick with it until you are successful, you will never look
back.  And the coolest thing about it is that internet
marketing is not really that difficult.  The tools that are
available for on line marketers are almost dummy proof.  If
you can find a mentor that will guide you to those tools,
and if you have a little patience, success will come.

but giving up too soon, or choosing the wrong programs is

You Are So LUCKY To Work From Home.....and Other Myths....

How many times a year do you hear this from your
well-meaning (?) family and friends:

"Oh! You are so LUCKY to work from home!"

Actually - you can probably substitute the 'work from home'
part with a number of other options such as 'self
employed', 'have so many income streams', 'be your own
boss', etc, etc.

And of course - that opening statement is usually followed
by something like: "You have no idea what I put up with
everyday at the office (or the store, or the school or the
loading dock - fill in the appropriate phrase)."

Hey! Guess what? I DO have a very good idea of what you are
putting up with everyday. It's WHY I am self-employed now.
It's WHY I work from home today!

And the truth is, I  still put up with a lot of the same
stuff everyday - it's just that now, I have the luxury of
deciding how to deal with it myself, instead of being TOLD
how to handle the situation.

But most importantly - LUCK has nothing to do with the fact
that I am self-employed and you are still in that office
(or store or loading dock or whatever). You see, being
self-employed means taking risks, and working your tail off
- sometimes for a LONG time - before you see any reward.

Being self-employed means that I don't get a paycheck from
anyone every Friday, no one else contributes to my health
insurance or my pension fund, no paid two week vacation, no
sick days and believe me - no paid holidays.

And chances are - I am still working every evening while
you are watching Desperate Housewives and voting for the
next American Idol.

No, being lucky and being self-employed have very little to
do with each other. I took a lot of very big risks to get
here, and have had more than my share of the 3 am
"heebie-jeebies", wondering if I did the right thing - but
I will never return to a "job" again!

I will be the first to admit that I still put in some long
hours - but it's my choice. I love what I do now, I only
set the alarm clock if I need to catch a plane, and my
income grows daily - whether I am on vacation or sitting in
front of the computer. I work hard,  I play hard, and life
is very, very good.

I work from home, I set my own hours, and I control my
income. No store to open, no products to ship, no boss
hanging over my shoulder!

Thanks to the internet, my dream of a portable business
with multiple streams of income is now my reality, and my
reality is a wonderful and rewarding way of life - both
emotionally and financially.

There is an old proverb (sorry - don't know who to give
credit to here, but I do love this!) that goes something
like this: "The harder I work - the luckier I get".

Can you do the same thing - break out of your rut and join
the ranks of those "lucky to be self-employed" folks? You
bet - virtually anyone can - it just takes the courage to
look beyond where you are today and the willingness to
create your own luck!

So, start 2008 right and make this your lucky year! If I
can 'get' lucky - so can you!

You should distribute about 10-20 articles per month with
links to your main site and subpages. Write only relevant
articles so the links will be coming from relevant web
pages.

- Isnare.com

- EzineArticles.com

I am sure there are other ones out there, but those have
produced the best results for me. Of course you don't have
to use those services, but they will automate the entire
process for you, which will save you a lot of time.

When you distribute your articles make sure to include
anchor text links within your resource box. Most of the
time you are allowed to have two links in your resource box
so make sure to include two links and not just one.

3. Link Baits - This method of getting backlinks is
probably the most effective if done correctly. You want
your link bait to gain a viral effect so your backlinks
spread across the internet like wildfire.

How can this be achieved?

First of all, let me explain what link baits are. Link bait
could be controversial content (article, press release, or
review), useful web based tool, authority pages, or great
service.

I think the easiest way to set up some link baits on your
site is to write controversial content or hire a programmer
to create a web based tool for your website's visitors.

After reading thousands of hands in the hand analysis
(non-predictive palmistry) business, I would say the "Life
Lesson" of humanity is self-esteem issues. If you doubt
yourself, how are you going to trust something as subtle,
fast and laser sharp as your intuition for making business

Having good self-esteem is vital to harnessing the power of
your intuition in business. And here's the catch: If women
business owners ask for help from their intuition and don't
listen, their intuitive awareness may go into hibernation.
If you ask and listen, but don't ACT, then you create
stagnation, procrastination and all sorts of challenges.

Here are three quick tips, learned over years of palm
reading, for women business owners to build their
self-esteem and deepen their confidence in their inner
guidance:

Spirituality and Business Tip #1: Delete all non-essential
email for one week. Answer only those emails that are
personal or business related. You don't have to unsubscribe
from everything or do anything drastic. Just cut out the
noise for one week. Notice your discomfort in deleting your
non-essential email. (I receive hundreds of emails per day.
Only 50 are business emails that need responses and by
responding to those emails, I actually ADD efficiency to my
life.) Notice if you feel anxious that you are going to
miss something. Notice if you can't do it this week and
want to put it off to next week. Who REALLY has the answers
to your life? You or a message in an electronic box?

Spirituality and Business Tip #2: Don't do anything - and I
do mean anything - that you don't want to do. This is
different from not doing something because it's
uncomfortable or because you are scared. There is a fine
distinction here. If you don't want to do something, you
know it in every cell of your body. BUT you may be tempted
to do it anyway in order to: avoid someone's wrath or
criticism, be pleasing, get your way, manipulate someone or
get revenge. Just to name some of the many methods of
self-betrayal that I see in my palmistry practice.

Spirituality and Business Tip #3: Make commitments to
yourself that you can keep. As a palmistry expert, I
recommend that instead of saying, "I'm going to start
working out five days a week, start writing for two hours
every day and start organizing all my paperwork every
week," why not commit to: "I'm going to move my body twice
a week in a way that is pleasurable to me. I will write
five minutes on Friday and build upon that. I will hire
someone to organize my paperwork." Many women business
owners in my palm reading business have learned from this
tip. By making commitments you can keep, you build your
self-esteem, and hence, your faith in yourself and in your
intuition in making business decisions.

imaginative, self motivated,  self driven, and passionate
about what you do. Becoming an affiliate can get you
started on the road to independence and financial freedom
with little or  no risk to you. . If you desire or need
more flexible working hours, then you can gain a lot from

perform, not on how many hours you work. If you become a
good affiliate you will be able to schedule your work
around other things such as families or other commitments

start with a blog or lens first. If your just starting as

designer. You don't have to worry about any of those things

engines love blogs, so they are usually indexed quickly.

An easy way to receive free traffic to your blog is by
article writing. You can  write articles relating to your
blog and submit them to article directories. It is very
simple to do, and once you do it a few times, it takes very
little of your time. The articles you write should contain
a link to your blog or lens, usually in the resource box or
the bio. After reading your articles, the reader has a
choice to click on the link and visit your blog or lens.
Having them on the free content sites also makes your
articles available to other webmasters who may wish to
publish that article on their site. And by doing this you
can  easily increase your traffic and sales free.

Affiliate marketing is not anything that you can have the
luxury to earn money at home with over night. You need to
be able to build up and keep adding or making adjustments

evolved in their wealth consciousness and therefore they go
for the things that are of higher value which the crowd
tend to be limited to. The super rich sell what they
themselves may not buy, but because it is what the crowd
will go for. It is meant to be that way anyway, since money
changes hands to those more worthy in handling it.

It is the thinkers that make money. The majority of the
population find it so hard to think. Most people would
rather die than to do some serious thinking. That's why
those that think grow rich, and mainly from those that do
not think. Most people would rather get through life by
paying other people to do all the thinking for them. Do not
cast pearls before swine lest they trample on it. Sell
swine food to swine and manna to angels. This is the wealth
secret that will turn your entirely philosophy of selling
around.

In the end, wealth is making lots of sales selling what
others want to buy because they think it's what they want,
while you simply use what you know is best for you, without
trying so hard to convince the masses that it's what they
should have because they're just not going to listen
anyway. The mantra of all sales champions is to sell what
the market wants. The Tao says we should go with the
universal flow instead of fighting futilely against it.

There is no denying the fact that the success of an
advertisement lies mostly in the headline. The headline
should attract the reader and make him read the rest of the
advertisement.

The headline should be simply catchy and various key points
should be embedded when deciding on the headline for the ad.

The headline should catch attention of the eye at the first
glance. Words in headlines should act as tags for the
advertisement. It should say it all about the content that
follows.

If a company is selling reasonably priced furniture, the
headline of their advertisement should be 'Durable
furniture for less price'. This headline will attract the
right customers who are on a look out for durable furniture
as well as low cost furniture.

If the customers to be reached belong to a category that
are interested in decorating their house with beautiful
furniture and aren't concerned about the price to get the
right look, then the headline can be 'Change how your house
looks by our oriental furniture'.

Anything other than the prospects should not be included in
the headline. If both men and women can use a product, both
of them should be referred to in the title, missing out
even one of the category is like losing a huge number of
potential customers.

The title should be instant product seller. According to a
research, five times more readers read just the headline
when compared to those who read the complete advertisement.
So the investment is of no use, if the title isn't good
enough to sell the product.

There can be a possibility that the content of the ad isn't
strong enough. All the harm can be undone by having a
powerful headline. The headline should be centered on the
product and not the company that is selling the product.

The customer's interest should be reflected and he should
feel that he is directly addressed. Start with 'you' and
not 'we'. So if the client specified on mentioning the
company's name, don't start the sentence with it. For
example, instead of writing 'Tylenol - solution for sever
cold ', write 'Got sever cold? Try Tylenol'.

Never forget to mention the name of the product in the
headline. The product name should be of top priority. A
snapshot of the benefits of the product should be given in
the headline. This is an important quality of a
well-phrased headline.

The customers look out for advantages when he thinks of

start off with affiliate marketing programs. These are
programs whereby you promote products for others for a
commission on the sales that your promotion leads to making
money being online.

In fact, that is an aspect of affiliate marketing that many
people misunderstand. Unlike salesmen working for their
company on commission for each sale they make, you are not
actually selling anything. Your job is to advertise and
promote the products in any way you can, and there are many
ways to do so. The ultimate result of your promotion is
that the prospect is sent to the merchant's sales page that
does the selling.

There are many ways in which you can promote the products
for which you are an affiliate. The benefits of affiliate
marketing programs include the automation of many of the
procedures involved, so that once you have set a program up
you have very little hands-on involvement.  The prospects
that visit your referring site read your promotional
material that could be in the form of a review for example,
and then click on to the merchant's site.  You have nothing
to do after that other than to be paid and become a wealthy
marketer.

Some affiliate marketing programs also include an element
of network marketing, whereby you can also get paid for
recruiting others to the affiliate program.  You can get
paid a percentage of the sales price for the products that
are sold as a result of the referrals of your recruits that
also led to sales.  That does not affect your recruits'
commission at all:  yours is in addition to that.  In fact,
where the network payment goes two levels deep, you also
get paid for the sales of the referrals of the recruits
that your recruits recruit (if you can make sense of all
these recruits!).

Where the payment levels go a few deep, this is termed
multi-level marketing (MLM).  A good MLM program is where
the majority of the wealth in the company comes from sales,
generally of products belonging to the company.  Some
generate their wealth primarily through payments made by
recruits as registration fees or payments for promotional
items, but you avoid these.  By far the best are programs
such as Wealthy Marketer whereby the majority of the income
is from the products.

The reason for this is that unless there is cash entering
the program from sales rather than payments made by members
of it, then eventually those members joining the program
later must lose out, because everybody cannot profit
without money coming in from external sources.  Another
aspect of such programs is that there should not be too
many levels paying you.  It might seem better for you the
more levels that pay you, but ultimately that mean that
there is less for those in the lower levels.

Programs such as 1up and 2up programs pay only up to three
levels, similar to many regular affiliate payment
arrangements where the merchant pays out to one or two
levels.  These are the types of program you should enter,
not those that offer what seem to be marvelous promises but
on checking closer could not possible be tenable to any
other than those that get into the program at the beginning.

A genuine affiliate marketing program pays only to a few
levels down because that is how everybody gets a fair share
of the income; it doesn't all go the originators and his
personal recruits, who are likely his friends and
relatives. A maximum of three levels is ideal because it
gives everybody a good share of the income without those
farther down the levels getting zilch.  Irrespective of
where you enter such a program, you can earn no less than
anybody else.  It is up to you.

These last five words are important, because like any
marketing program you get out what you out in.  If you are
prepared to do a bit of work, then you will earn more.
Internet affiliate marketing is not about taking it easy
and waiting for the cash to roll in:  it doesn't happen
that way.  One day it might, but all these millionaire
entrepreneurs you read about worked their guts out to get
there.  It could be you one day, but you have to work to
get there.

Some affiliate marketing programs make it easier to get
there than others, and it is up to you which you choose.

success first.  A leader motivates and teaches mindset
before business models.  Being a leader is ultimately being
a servant.

3.  Love people use money--If you're running around looking
at every single person as if they were a dollar sign trying
to entice them to sign the application to join your deal,
then failure will soon be your ultimate destiny.  The key
to becoming a Big Fish is to truly sincerely love people
first and as a result you become attractive, and an
invitation for money unfolds.  Money is only a resource,
however all network marketers have goals and desires which
is why Big Fish are kings at taking them into consideration
first and foremost.

Network marketing is not all about selling.  It's about
sharing, giving, and caring about other people's goals and
desires.  When you actually sit down and think about this
concept, it becomes reality.  You can only make income and

From politicians to phone companies, reality-oriented
marketing has become the hot new trend that can benefit
your business.

Interestingly, back in the 2004 election year, the
Republican party's presidential team created a presidential
or "marketing" campaign that went deep into a community,
attaching itself to high-profile decision makers,
neighborhood leaders and trend-setters to get their message
out. The business sector has now harnessed this marketing
strategy.

The phone industry, can we say AT & T, created local
marketing teams that went deep into communities to find
neighborhood leaders to pitch its newest service. The
telecommunications giant developed lists within the
communities that included Sunday School teachers,
"influencers", trend setters and others whose opinions are
sought out and valued by neighbors and peers. This strong
word-of-mouth influence has helped AT&T find customers that
have agreed to sign up for their TV service after the
influencer's hosted TV parties.

Jaguar is capitalizing on a marketing trend that is
referred to as a "living product placement." The luxury car
maker is using high-profile trend setters to drive around
in their car and hope to be "seen" in it. Just ask any
perfume, cosmetics, handbag maker or fashion house how
important it is for them to find a celebrity (based on
high-profile) to wear their product in public.

Let's look at this marketing trend a little closer:

* First, companies are going deep into a local community to
find the decision-makers and trend setters who others value
and respect for information from presidents to commercial
lifestyle brands, i.e. Jaguars, host TV parties, women's
fashions, etc.

* As the major television networks lose market share and
viewers to cable channels and Internet programming,
companies that would normally advertise on these channels
are looking for ways to tap local markets to find their
customers.

* Network marketing businesses have understood the
importance of reality-oriented marketing by inviting
friends, neighbors, family and business associates to their
homes to try cookware, make-up, necessary home products,
health supplements and the list goes on.

* Banks are using real customers in advertisements, on
billboards and on television to share the benefits of using
this specific bank and services in their everyday business.

* The Wall Street Journal, car companies and others are
highlighting their customer with real names and photos with
the benefits of using their products and services.

* Businesses are bringing in their customers to taste foods
prepared by local chefs (Think: kitchen appliance centers,
supermarkets, culinary sections of bookstores, wine stores,
and confectioner's businesses to name a few).

Why do People Buy?

What makes marketing deep within a community with focused
placements and living product placements appealing to your
clients and buyers? Certainly there are several reasons
that people buy a product or service, but a few of these
reasons or benefits are:

*   People are always looking for something new, slightly
different. One of the most powerful words you can use in
your marketing campaigns is the word "new."

*   People want to look hip, young, cutting-edge, and want
to keep up with the current lifestyle. The 20-somethings to
60-somethings look and act at least a decade younger.

Psychographics

Certain eras and generations feed and are motivated by the
current political, economic and social changes they
perceive happening around them at certain stages in their
lives. This is a major component of generational marketing
and it needs to be an important piece in your marketing
campaigns. You need to know who your best customers and
clients are by way of their demographics and psychographics.

The advertising campaign that Dove used in capturing "real
women" of all sizes, careers and cultures was a hit. There
seems to be a duplicity however, in marketing campaigns
today, just as there is a polarizing effect from the retail
world in that consumers are buying products and services
from the two extremes: the discounters or the prestigious,
expensive lines. This too is happening in advertising and
marketing; Celebrity-based reality advertising and Real
People-based reality advertising.

* Celebrity-based reality advertising  - Marketers use
celebrities more commonly now than models. We can't seem to
get enough information about celebrities as People Magazine
is one of the top magazine attractors nationally.

* Real People-based reality advertising - Marketers are
increasingly using "real, everyday people" who are
perceived as a center of influence, from neighborhoods to
office workers as well as those who are perceived as
beautiful and as trendsetters, to influence buyers to
purchase their products and services.

Then there's http://www.youtube.com which I believe is in
its infancy stage where ebay was several years ago! This
website has become a gathering place for people to "show"
videos of all types and much more. How can you showcase
your business (services or products) in this new and very
visible media?

Marketing Tips:

* Find ways to "show and tell" your clients and customers
the benefits of using your products.

* Find the "influencers" in a group or a
demographic/psychographic segment.

* Allow your customer to use their own "benefit" words and
phrases which are usually much stronger and "real" to
others when creating advertising copy AND creating a
marketing campaign.

* Think globally when creating your marketing campaign. For
example, one company uses the word "excellent" in seven
different languages to define their products.

* Think locally as well, focus on going "deep" within a
community in a particular well-defined segment(s).

* Think of ways you can entice your prospects and clients
to "try" your services or products before purchasing?

Women Entrepreneurs - How to Win InfoMarketer of the Year

November 4, 2007 was an incredible day for me. It was the
day I won the Glazer-Kennedy 2007 Info-Marketer of the Year.

So why is this important and why should you care? Both of
these actually have the same answer - which is, there are
some important lessons in how I went about winning this
award that can help you in your business and personal life.

You see, I wasn't a shoe-in on any level. Of all the
info-marketers in the room, my six-figure income, while
respectable, is certainly not the highest, nor even in the
middle range of what many successful info-marketers make. I
also had some pretty stiff competition from other, more
well-known info-marketers.

But, despite these obstacles, I was the one who took home
the prize. How did I do it? Check out the five keys below.

1. I was determined to win. Never, ever, discount your
attitude and mindset. From the very beginning, when I first
found out about this award, I made up my mind I wanted to
win it and was going to do whatever it took to do that.

What about you? Are you determined to succeed in your
business? Are you determined to achieve your 2008 goals?
Were you determined to achieve your 2007 goals? If you
weren't, how did that end up working out for you?

If you find yourself consistently missing goals in your
business or your life, take a moment and check in with
yourself. Are you as committed to your goal as you could
be? If not, maybe that's part of the problem. The key is to
DECIDE and then ACT upon that decision.

2. I wasn't afraid to work hard. I spent an entire Sunday
pulling together my application materials. Once I
discovered I was a finalist, I practiced and practiced and
practiced my presentation. Even while I was at the event, I
skipped an evening of networking and relaxing to go to my
room and practice some more.

Now, I'm not for a moment advocating an "all work and no
play" lifestyle, or having your business take over your
life. What I AM saying is there are times where you do need
to work hard to get where you want to go (just like there
are times where you need to unplug and unwind).  Your
challenge is knowing the difference between the two and
acting accordingly. (More on that below.)

3. I was strategic about how I worked. This is the key to
knowing when to work hard, what to work hard on, and when
to kick back and relax.

Before I dug in and started pulling things together, I took
a step back and thought about my goals. How could I present
my materials and myself in the best possible light so I
would stand out from the crowd? Once I figured out the how,
then it was easy to jump in and get it all done.

The request for entries was in a sales letter format. So I
formatted my entry just like the request, with a bright red
headline which read: "They Laughed At My 'Profession' -
Until I Started Making More Money In 1 Month Than They'd
Made In The Last Year! All Thanks to Glazer-Kennedy-Style
Marketing." My full contest entry reflected the principals
that I had learned from the company offering the contest.

So how do you approach a big project? Do you take a step
back and plan first, so you know you're focusing on the
right things in the right order? Or do you just jump in
headfirst and flail around? If it's the latter, then
chances are you probably find yourself working a ton of
hours and not getting much done.

I know it can be very tempting to skip the plan and get
straight to the doing, especially when it's a big project.
And planning can feel like nothing is happening. But trust
me, making time to plan is the quickest way to get things
done.

4. I asked for the vote. I was chosen as one of four
finalists, then at the Info Marketing Summit I did a
15-minute presentation to all the participants. The
participants then cast the vote for the final winner.

Actually, not only did I ask for the vote, I explained why
they should vote for me and why should I win it.

Believe it or not, I was the only one who did.

Do you ask for what you want? From asking for the sale to
asking for the deal to asking for help, asking could be
your golden key to getting exactly what you want.

5. I didn't sweat the small stuff. When I left the stage
after my presentation, I discovered I had buttoned my
jacket wrong so it was crooked. I could have gotten very
upset and stressed about this. But I chose not to let it
bother me. And in retrospect, clearly it didn't make one
lick of difference.

Do you find yourself sweating the small stuff in your
business or your life? Are those small details you agonize
over really going to make a difference in achieving your
goals? If the answer is no, then let it go. It's not worth
getting upset about it.

It's your intention to land a green career in 2008, but do
you know how to make that happen?

Use the five strategies in this tip to focus and guide your
actions. Don't attempt to do all of these strategies as
once. The key is to get a good foundation in one strategy
before moving to the next. As you move through each
strategy, your knowledge and clarity will build.

1) Identify Your Green Niche

The green economy offers tremendous possibilities. Some are
available today while others will unfold over the next
months and years.

To find your place in this new universe, your first and
most important task is to discover the career that is the
best match for your passions, talents, interests, and
experiences.

The answer that is right for you is a combination of your
interests. Don't limit yourself by latching onto your first
idea or the idea you've had for some time. Instead open
your mind to all possibilities.

Begin your search for your green niche or refine your
understanding of your green niche by creating a list of
your favorite skills and interests. Don't worry at first
about how they will all fit together, just keep making your
list. Think of each entry as a clue to your green niche.

When you have a list of forty entries, then explore themes
and trends to see how your clues fit together. Sometimes
your green niche will jump out at you. In other cases
you'll need to play with various combinations to find the
one that works best for you.

3)  Talk to People in Your Target Field/Industry

Although you can understand a lot about an industry by
reading, you'll gain an even richer sense of what's
happening by talking with people who work in the field.

If you are struggling a bit to figure out whom to talk to,
use these ideas to jump start your networking process.

-- Attend a green networking event.

-- Become active in the green movement in your local area.

-- Attend professional meetings.

-- Attend a relevant green conference.

-- Talk with individuals over coffee, lunch, or a hike.

4)  Watch for Opportunities

As you immerse yourself in your target field/industry, you
have several goals.

-- First, you want to learn enough to understand the
various facets of the field/industry.

-- Second, you want to identify where your skills, talents,
and experience may be an asset.

-- Third, you want to find organizations that hire people
in your field.

-- Fourth, you want to discover problems those
organizations are facing. As you identify these problems,
assess where you can use your skills to help them turn
these situations around. When you can articulate your
ability to help the organization meet their goals and reach
for their vision, you are on the right track.

5)  Be Ready

As you become more familiar with how and where you'll fit
into your target industry, begin putting the pieces
together for your job search or your new business. When a
live opportunity presents itself, you want to be ready to
jump into action.

-- If you are planning to launch a job search, you want to
work on the best way to articulate the kind of job you are
searching for, you want to update your resume, and you want
to prepare yourself for future interviews.

-- If you are planning to launch your own business, you
want to focus on a clear description of your business idea,
you want to create a solid business plan, and you want to
create a way to market test your idea.

Figure out where you are in this list of strategies and
start there. As you get a handle on one strategy, begin
making progress on the next strategy. As you gain momentum,
you'll see clarity increase and your foundation strengthen.

Social networking communities offer another opportunity to
join the social media channels. Every effort you make to
identify your brand and web presence can be increased
tenfold when you join a consumer-driven and user-generated
community such as MySpace, LinkedIn, or other social
networking platform.  These sites encourage regular
interaction in a casual and conversational style; although
you won't be submitting specific articles or content, you
will be growing your brand presence with your users.  IN
addition, you can use the Search features on any of these
sites to narrow down your target market.

VIDEO SHARING

Video sharing can work well in conjunction with your
article and content submissions, and is becoming especially
popular with social bookmarkers.  Creating and publishing
videos to deliver a message can easily be picked up by many
social bookmarkers and shared instantly; the idea is to
create something unique and creative so that more people
are driven to view it-and ultimately, head back to your

VIRTUAL REALITY AND EVENTS

Virtual reality and events are another way to attract new

release about your event or the latest innovations on your

chances of increased exposure are much higher.

Making sure all of your submissions are tagged and indexed
in the right categories will help you create a strong
presence in the community; essentially, you are notifying

newsworthy subject, you can gain instant favor on a variety

events that can be used to generate buzz.  A press release
that highlights the event can easily be submitted to social
bookmarking sites and directories for instant exposure.

MEDIA SHARING

Media sharing is one of the precursors to social
bookmarking and networking, developing from the concept of
photo sharing and music exchanges.  As these sites have
grown, more people are learning to share and create

Instead of Writing Resolutions, Create Real Change

When the ball dropped at midnight on New Years' Eve, did
you close your eyes and silently wish that 2008 will be the
year you become, create or do those things you've dreamed
of? Did you hope you would magically become a better or a
new person imbued with the characteristics that would make
your dreams come true?  Or did you resign yourself to the
fact that 2008 is bound to be just another year like all
the others - a year in which nothing at all changes?

What defines who will succeed in making the changes they
desire and who will not?  Why do some resolutions end up on
your list year after year after year?  And why do other
things you desire seem to manifest easily and effortlessly?
Success leaves a trail. By following the trail that has
led to the successes in your life, you can pin down your
own "success blueprint" and then use it to create the
things, experiences and states of being that you desire.
So, how can you make 2008 different from last year? How can
you actually create the changes you failed to make in 2007?
How do you keep from being one of the four out of five
people who make New Year's resolutions but fail to keep
them? You begin by viewing change in a different way.
Instead of wishing for a magic wand, find a roadmap that
will lead you from where you are today to where you want to
be. We all need a process to harness our purpose, passion
and desires.  Processes take time and require our
attention, and often involve more than a simple change in
behavior.

In real life, personal change often requires both an
internal process of change as well as an external one. To
actually create change, accomplish goals or make our
resolutions become realities, we can treat the process of
creating change as if we are growing a garden. Indeed, we
can "grow change" by "planting seeds of change.'" We do
this by looking inward at the issues we have that prevent
us from creating change. We also look at the successes we
have accomplished in our lives to find clues for creating
future successes. The process of internal discovery
prepares the soil and weeds our existing garden to make
room for new seeds to be planted and to grow.  Then we set
our intentions for change - actually plant the seed of our
desires - and carefully tend the garden by taking actions -
sometimes just small steps each day or week - to help
nurture the change.  Step by step, we move closer to our
goal. We help the seedling - the change we desire - to
develop deep roots, to grow strong and, eventually, to bear
fruit.

Anyone can plant seeds of change and then watch them grow
by taking the following four steps:

1. Cultivate the soil - This requires doing the inner work
necessary to allow change to happen. In this step, we must
each look carefully and honestly at what stops us - now and
in the past - from achieving our goals. Are we afraid? Does
it feel too hard? We must explore these issues and find
ways to move through them, thus preparing ourselves to
become a fertile growing space for the change we desire.
This can involve finding compelling reasons to change, and
developing a "burning desire" to change when we know we
need to change but don't necessarily want to change. In
addition, at this stage you might want to find a life coach
or counselor to help you move through your issues, or to
use creative visualization techniques, affirmations or
other human potential tools.

2. Planting the seed - This step combines the inner work of
step one with the outer work of actually doing something to
begin creating the desired change. At this point, we
actually plant the seed of change in the soil we have
cultivated. We define what it is that we want to create and
state our intention in a clear, concise, measurable, and
attainable way. This intention becomes the seed we plant
and nurture.

3. Fertilizing and watering the seed -We now begin to take
action to make the change occur. By taking the time to help
that little seed grow strong roots, it will hold firmly in
the soil as it sprouts and begins growing strong in the
world. We must nurture the seedling  and give it the
essentials, like water, food and attention, to be sure its
growth is not impeded or stopped. In this step we also look
at past successes and build our own personal Success
Blueprint. Tools to use during this growing phase are
visualizing the goal, taking time to focus on our intention
and being grateful for each little success along the way.
Part of the fertilizing process is doing one thing a day or
a week to help us move towards our goal. We must make small
changes and take baby steps while always staying focused on
the end result we desire.  We may not know exactly how our
desire will manifest, but it is important that we
consistently do something - anything - to help us move in
the direction of our desires.

4. Harvesting the fruit - Over time, the love, care and
attention we give to the seed of change causes it to grow
into a mature plant that bears tangible fruits. In this
final step, it becomes possible to harvest those fruits,
which show up as the changes we desire, enjoy them and,
most importantly, be grateful. Just as our seed has grown,
through the process of planting it and caring for it, we
have also grown. We are ready to allow the fruits of our
inner and outer labor to become real and a part of our life
and who we are at this moment.

Many people give up on their New Year's resolutions,
because they don't see change happening fast enough. If we
let the change we desire grow, like a flower - indeed, if
we help it grow by nurturing it and giving it our
consistent attention, we will find we have accomplished
much by December 31, 2008. By approaching New Year's
resolutions in this manner, change is allowed to happen
naturally, organically, without being forced. We may not
see our resolutions achieved over night using this process,
but we will see them achieved. In addition, by actively
engaging in the process of change by planting seeds in
fertile ground, nurturing the growing plant and then
consciously harvesting the mature, tangible fruits, we gain
all the gems of knowledge and experience the process has to
offer - which is just as important as reaching your goal.

Profile a Great Customer - Gain More Customers Just Like Them

One of the biggest challenges you will face as a business
owner is attracting new customers.  Expanding your customer
base can be expensive and time-consuming, but it is
necessary in order to continue to grow your business.  As a
business owner, what can you do in order to attract more
customers without breaking the bank?

The first thing you will need to do is identify your best
or ideal customer.  It is important to think about what
constitutes your ideal customer.  These characteristics
will vary, depending on the nature of your business and
your specific industry.  It is a good idea to take a few
minutes to make a short list of characteristics and
behaviors that will help you identify your ideal customer.
This is called profiling a customer.

Once you have profiled your customer, you can use this
profile to your advantage.  For example, one local mobile
home dealer was surprised to learn that his ideal clients
are retired couples, not families.  In his research, he
found that his best clients are retirees who are looking
for a smaller home on the lake.  Once the owner discovered
this information, he could begin to attract more retirees.

He started asking clients about the local newspapers and
magazines they read.  He found that they often read a
different newspaper than the paper he regularly advertised
in.  This means that his ads were not reaching his target
audience.  He clearly had to change the way he advertised.
This allowed the business owner to change the way he
advertised in order to attract more of his ideal clients,
getting more results for his advertising dollar.

When creating his advertising, the business owner also took
his ideal customer into account.  He created print ads and
commercials that showed he had experience helping retirees
find their dream vacation home.  One of his best ideas
included using a story approach to advertising.  In his
ads, he related a specific example of he how helped a
couple purchase their vacation home.  This helped clients
visualize how his mobile home business could help them
realize their dreams.

This business owner also involved his clients in his
advertising.  He used pictures of real clients in their
real homes purchased from his business.  These pictures
were not only used in print ads and television commercials,
but they were also posted in very visible locations in the
office.  This serves as a constant, yet subtle reminder to
the clients that his business has experience helping people
just like them.

His most successful project included using customer
profiling to his advantage.  He learned the main route his
customers took into the area and rented a billboard.  He
then used a picture of a real client moving into a
lakefront property.  The only other information on the
billboard was his phone number.  This simple billboard
increased sales by 20%.

Profile your ideal customer and sales will increase
significantly.  All you need to do is a little research,
and your customer base will expand rapidly.
